Giving Back to our Local Community
On a warm summer day in July, employees of Gregory Construction were not working in the heat, attending management meetings, or meeting with clients. In fact, weekly projects were placed on hold for this particular event, which involved pizza and 4-Square.
Our outreach team had an appointment with the children and staff of Sim Scott Summer Camp in Columbus, Mississippi.
Relationship
This fun-filled time is not the first of its kind; Sim Scott Summer Camp has invited the Gregory care team to serve several times. The history between the summer camp and Gregory goes back more than four years. The relationship originated from a “little pantry box” for the neighborhood, which Gregory installed and began servicing in 2020.
From there, Gregory’s employees began serving with the kids and catering pizza during the camp. The kids especially enjoy playing games and getting their energy out with their friends at Gregory.
“Gregory’s care team values having the opportunity to give back to local members of our community,” said Hayden Peel, Gregory’s Business Development Manager.
