Gregory Construction Care Team
The Care Team was officially formed in November 2021 and meets every other week. The Care Team brings organization and purpose to Gregory Construction’s charity and employee support. There are currently seven members from different departments in the company.
Like every aspect of Gregory Construction, the Care Team aligns with mission-driven goals. These goals include being gospel-focused (Matthew 28:19; 1 Thessalonians 2:4), fruit-bearing (Galatians 5:22; Ephesians 2:10), and burden-bearing (Galatians 6:2; Romans 12:15). The mission behind the Care Team is to glorify God by sharing the love of Christ in serving and encouraging our team and communities through financial, spiritual, and service needs.
Purposeful Donations
With Gregory Construction’s purpose in mind (To honor God, serve others, pursue excellence, and grow profitably), it gives corporate donations to nonprofit organizations through the Care Team. Gregory Construction’s generous employees also contribute to the Care Team for different causes through various fundraisers.
One organization the Care Team proudly supports is Friend of God Recovery Center, which helps women come out of addiction.
Food Drives
Another practical and important way we “Improve lives while we build the future” includes collecting nonperishable food items for “Our Little Pantry” box. This food drive runs year-round, providing a great opportunity for employees to give week-to-week or month-to-month. These foods go directly to anyone who needs them in a challenged community in Columbus, Mississippi.
Volunteer Opportunities
Our awesome team members not only enjoy giving money to different causes. They also donate their time through Care Team volunteer opportunities. Gregory Construction hosts several picnics in the park in the same community as Our Little Pantry.
We volunteer every year with the Golden Triangle Outdoors’ Catfish Roundup which helps those with special needs. We also offer service projects for our employees, like the recent project where we built a deck for a local mission-driven organization called Christian World Missions.
Gregory Events
While charity support makes up a large part of the Care Team, another important part includes caring for Gregory Construction employees. The Care Team sees this as an amazing opportunity to serve Christ right where it’s been planted. Some examples of fun Gregory events include employee cooking competitions and employee picnics.
